Natural Luxury in WA’s South West

There is a beautiful natural spa that is hidden away ‘down south‘ of Western Australia. It’s called the ‘Indjidup Natural Spa’, and it’s a large natural rock pool that is located at Injidup Beach in Yallingup.

Once a truly secret spot, this beautiful natural spa has gained huge popularity through social media. Why? Because its absolutely gorgeous with stunning views – and it’s all free, making it a very instagrammable and affordable destination, only 3 hours drive south of Perth.

More About Injidup Natural Spa in Yallingup

Injidup Beach in Yallingup is a white sandy beach that’s very interesting to walk along for its spectacular variety of rocks and boulders in all shapes and sizes in the area. Injidup Natural Spa is linked up to the ocean there, and is well hidden amongst all these variety of rocks.

There’s also fantastic surf at Injidup Beach, and it’s those frequent waves that keep providing Injidup Natural Spa with constantly refreshed rock pool water. Just be careful not to get yourself between the crashing waves and the rocks, although it does look awesome from a high vantage spot. If you have a drone – bring it down here, would make for awesome aerial footage.

If you’re unsure how you’ll be able to see the well hidden Injidup Natural Spa, you could see it by doing a bit of rock traversing up one of the bigger hills closeby to it.

While it is rather difficult to get down to the natural spa as there is no basic path, a little bit of strategic rock walking will get you there soon enough. It’s relatively easy if you’re relatively fit, and is very much worth the trek if you can make it – and yes – the water is often freezing there, but totally worth it!

I heard about this majestic rock spa through a friend, and like anything mysterious and largely unknown about, I was instantly captivated and intrigued and wanted to find out more to experience it for myself.

Injidup Natural Spa really does live up to its name – it truly is a rockpool that creates a spa-like experience through the waves smashing into the cracks of the rocks. It also has a little waterfall in the pool which is super fun to be splashed around in.

I had so much fun here and I absolutely can’t wait go back in a bikini with my camera and drone in tow!

How to Get There

To get to Injidup Natural Spa, head out of Yallingup towards Margaret River and you’ll stumble across Wyadup Road. This road will take you to Injidup’s end carpark, where you can park up then walk down to the visible cluster of rocks on the left side of the lot. You’ll soon find the heavenly natural spa on the right, nestled in between all the rock pools.

Warning! Be careful with unstable rocks, be aware of the surf and don’t head into the water or the area if the conditions are looking rough. As this area is full of rocks and no clear path has been constructed, it can be a little dangerous in the wrong weather. Don’t go alone – bring a mate and know your limits.
